Intensive Financial Modelling Course in Moscow

CFA Association (Russia), together with F1F9 Academy (UK) held an Intensive Financial Modelling course on the last weekend of May (May 26-27). The Financial Modelling course was specifically valuable to buy- and sell-side investment professionals working in investment banking, Private Equity, as well as in real sectors, and using financial models in their everyday work.

This specific course was built around the FAST financial modelling standard (http://www.fast-standard.org/), which is gaining increasing popularity amongst investment banks worldwide. The course focused on various aspects of building complete financial models from scratch, including debt financing, inflation, depreciation, deferred tax and others.

The course de-emphasised theory in favour of detailed instruction and hands-on practice with good model design and modelling techniques.
Employees of United Capital Partners, PricewaterhouseCooopers, Accenture, and several other companies improved their advanced knowledge of Excel, learned about methods used to develop fully integrated financial models, test their integrity, and applying sensitivity analysis to different scenarios.

Delegates found the course helpful to both their understanding of financial analysis concepts, and the practical application of methods learned to their work.
