On May 19, 2012, CFA Association Russia, together with Kaplan Schweser, organized the Live Mock CFA Exam Level I, II and III. Throughout the day, CFA candidates in Moscow had the opportunity to rehearse the six-hour exam in an environment, most closely imitating the real exam conditions.

This year, 170 CFA Candidates took the opportunity to try out the exam in 'almost-real conditions', compared to less than 100 candidates two years ago..

At 9am, the exam simulation was launched in two auditoriums of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, one of the most renowned educational institutions in Moscow. The exam lasted for a total of six hours, with a one-hour break between the sessions.

All candidates received a pack of exam materials prepared by Kaplan Schweser. The exam sheets most closely resembled the actual exam materials and were based on Schweser preparatory materials. The main difference with the real exam was the possibility to self-grade the results at the end, and to know the result before the end of the day.
