BIOGRAPHY

Jeffrey Hooke, Managing Director at Hooke Associates, LLC, founded the firm in 1999.  He was formerly an investment banker with Lehman Brothers and Schroder Wertheim, respectively.  He was also a merchant banker for Emerging Markets Partnership, a $5 billion private equity fund specializing in developing nations, and International Finance Corporation, the $20 billion private sector affiliate of the World Bank.

Mr. Hooke has closed over 150 M&A transactions, public offerings and private financings, and he has completed over 70 valuation assignments both in the U.S. and abroad.

He is the author of three authoritative books: M&A A Practical Guide to Doing the Deal; Security Analysis on Wall Street:  A Comprehensive Guide to Today’s Valuation Methods (required reading for the CFA exam); and The Emerging Markets:  A Practical Guide for Corporations, Lenders and Investors. He is a frequent lecturer for universities and corporate groups, and his book on valuation is part of the CFA curriculum.
