On June 28, the CFA Day party took place in Moscow, in the fancy Louvre Club at 5 Potapovsky Lane. The party was organized by the CFA Association (Russia), which over the past three years gathered the community of 192 top local investment professionals. The event was co-organized by PriceWaterhouseCoopers, one of the most successful audit companies in Russia.

The event gathered nearly 200 guests from over 100 organizations, including Deloitte, Troika Dialog, Renaissance Capital, HSBC, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, The World Bank, Ernst&Young, Morgan Stanley, and many others. The party featured a Live Jazz band, a four-hour long fourchette reception, and, as usually, lots of business networking and professional discussions.

In his opening statement, Mr.Richard Hainsworth, the president of CFA Association (Russia) emphasized that the first three years of the Russian CFA Society have been a success. As a result of its strong development, the community now includes the most prominent and respected individuals, with strong reputation both in Russia and worldwide.

Starting from its inception, the CFA Association (Russia) has been promoting in Russia the highest ethical standards of the internationally renowned CFA Institute. The Society has been regularly providing education and professional development in a series of lectures, roundtables, public conferences and webcasts.

The CFA Day on June 28 marked the 60th anniversary of the CFA Institute, the largest non-for-profit membership organization, which gathers over 90,000 top-class financial professionals in 130 counties around the world. The CFA Insititute is also recognized worldwide as the administrator of the “gold standard” for investment professionals – the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) examination program. In Russia, over 200 professionals hold the CFA Charter, and nearly 2,000 people participated in CFA examinations since 2002.
