CFA Association Russia launched a series of educational videos to inform the public about some of the projects in which the society is involved in. 

The first video focuses on GIPS and the development of the standards in Russia. In a 30-minute video, Anton Ryzhikov, head of CFA Russia’s GIPS committee, answered to the most frequently asked questions about GIPS and filled in about the current progress with the implementation of standards in Russia and the CIS. 

During 2019, CFA Russia organized a few GIPS-related events, spreading the word about the advantages of getting verified. Slowly but surely, the work paid off with the first company agreeing to go through a GIPS verification process this year.

GIPS are the ethical standards created by CFA Institute to ensure a trustworthy representation and disclosure of investment performance results. These standards help investment companies to bring more transparency and provide guidelines on how to calculate and present their investment results to their future clients.
