On December 10, CFA Association Russia held an evening seminar focusing on Exchange-traded funds (ETF) at Moscow Exchange (MoEx).

The event featured four keynote speakers (in order of appearance):

• Alexey Fedorov, the head of securities market department at MoEx

• Vladimir Potapov, CFA, CEO of VTB Capital Investments, Senior Vice President of VTB Bank

• Vasily Illarionov, CFA, Managing Director at Sberbank Asset Management

• Olivier Fines, CFA, Head of Advocacy EMEA at CFA Institute

Discussion highlights included a number of interesting themes, such as the future role of AI in the investment profession, predictions on the Russian ETF market, average spending on ETF in VTB Capital Investments and Sberbank Asset Management, some of the pros and cons of owning ETFs and few other things.
